About the role

  • Act as a liaison between Data and Analytics/Data Science teams and internal finance stakeholders.
  • Develop requirements for data projects and efforts impacting data infrastructure.
  • Document and test data solutions; help prioritize Data and Analytics backlog.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Contribute to and may lead project data-related efforts; support business partners and project managers.
  • Lead requirements gathering and analysis on small to medium projects; coordinate meetings and track deliverables.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring; leverage BigQuery/GCP tools for querying and processing.
  • Utilize Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting; present data-driven recommendations.
  • Participate in data governance Center of Excellence and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, statistics, or accounting, or equivalent education and/or work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years direct work experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or other similar capacity.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of modern data warehouse/lake/lakehouse architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g. MS-SQL).
  • Experience with Python coding for data analysis and automation.
  • Awareness of other semi-structured data formats (e.g. Parquet, JSON, XML).
  • Awareness of modern data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Demonstrated experience with reporting and dashboarding tools such as PowerBI or Informatica.
  • Travel: 5-10%
