About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement router, switch, iptables, and/or in-line network encryptor configurations for network transport equipment
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network problems and anomalies
Write formal documentation for all network functions
Evaluate and test emerging network technologies for compatibility with existing designs
Participate in design reviews and peer reviews and provide technical feedback during development Sprints
Develop test cases, test plans, and reports for network functions
Support ANTS/ARCS user assistance requests
Participate in technical exchanges and integrate solutions with aircraft and ground control station vendor systems
Report status and recommendations to the ANTS/ARCS Network Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of two (2) years of exposure to OSPF, PIM, IGMP, VRRP, and IPSec with HAIPE devices
Active DoD Secret clearance
Understanding of network security best practices
Understanding of RHEL iptables
Understanding of encryption device use and configuration, including KG-175D, KG-175F, and KG-175N
Cisco CCNA or equivalent vendor certification level
Active CompTIA Security+
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Effective communication and writing skills
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
Preferred experience with DoD engineering support, ADNS, or Naval aviation
Preferred experience with Juniper routers and virtual routing
Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Firewalls
Preferred experience with Ansible or Jenkins
Preferred experience with Python or bash shell scripting
Preferred experience with unmanned or unattended system environments
Preferred experience with Agile Scrum
Preferred familiarity with software-defined networks or SD-WAN
Preferred familiarity with ACAS scanning, DISA STIG findings, or Spirent TestCenter
