About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assisting with the installation of sprinkler piping, heads, hangers, and related components following approved blueprints and NFPA 13/13R/13D standards
  • Cutting, threading, grooving, and joining pipe using hand and power tools
  • Helping with system testing, flushing, and inspections
  • Maintaining a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Attending all required apprenticeship classes and completing coursework on schedule
  • Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Enrollment in, or eligibility for, a UA (United Association) or equivalent registered apprenticeship program
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Reliable attendance — this role requires consistent on-site presence
