About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Examine, verify, cleanse, and reconcile financial records such as trial balances, general ledgers, invoices, tax data, and bank statements
- Assist in preparing data mappings, coding frameworks, and aligning financial data for system enhancements and standardized reporting
- Take part in system testing and work closely with senior accountants and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve inconsistencies
- Capture and document current accounting processes, controls, and reporting needs to improve efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with finance, IT, tax, and audit teams across geographies to gather requirements, align deliverables, and share updates
- Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails to support compliance requirements and future audits
- Support validation of financial data across systems by reconciling reports such as trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
- Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business, reporting, and statutory requirements
- Assist in identifying and addressing discrepancies that impact reporting accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Handle routine accounting activities including ledger updates, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST/TDS-related tasks
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the finance team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 10+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in accounting or finance
- B. Com / M. Com preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
