About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Examine, verify, cleanse, and reconcile financial records such as trial balances, general ledgers, invoices, tax data, and bank statements
  • Assist in preparing data mappings, coding frameworks, and aligning financial data for system enhancements and standardized reporting
  • Take part in system testing and work closely with senior accountants and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve inconsistencies
  • Capture and document current accounting processes, controls, and reporting needs to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, tax, and audit teams across geographies to gather requirements, align deliverables, and share updates
  • Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails to support compliance requirements and future audits
  • Support validation of financial data across systems by reconciling reports such as trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
  • Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business, reporting, and statutory requirements
  • Assist in identifying and addressing discrepancies that impact reporting accuracy and workflow efficiency
  • Handle routine accounting activities including ledger updates, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST/TDS-related tasks
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the finance team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 10+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • B. Com / M. Com preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
