About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Examine, verify, cleanse, and reconcile financial records such as trial balances, general ledgers, invoices, tax data, and bank statements
Assist in preparing data mappings, coding frameworks, and aligning financial data for system enhancements and standardized reporting
Take part in system testing and work closely with senior accountants and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve inconsistencies
Capture and document current accounting processes, controls, and reporting needs to improve efficiency and consistency
Collaborate with finance, IT, tax, and audit teams across geographies to gather requirements, align deliverables, and share updates
Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails to support compliance requirements and future audits
Support validation of financial data across systems by reconciling reports such as trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business, reporting, and statutory requirements
Assist in identifying and addressing discrepancies that impact reporting accuracy and workflow efficiency
Handle routine accounting activities including ledger updates, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST/TDS-related tasks
Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the finance team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
10+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in accounting or finance
B. Com / M. Com preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
