About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multiple client projects (2-4), taking primary responsibility for complex engagements that involve multiple senior stakeholders and large teams (4-5 resources or more)
  • Ensure the highest quality of work and deliverables across the projects you oversee
  • Act as a trusted business advisor in senior management discussions
  • Take ownership of select accounts, carrying revenue quota responsibility
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their growth and development
  • Specialise in 2-3 areas of functional skills in Industrial or Energy domain and position oneself as an internal expert/specialist in these areas
  • Provide inputs on improving existing project delivery tools and frameworks
  • Create approaches and frameworks for client projects and act as a guide to team members
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance of outcomes for deliverables
  • Support facilitation of Growth Pipeline Dialogs
  • Demonstrate strong results focus and experience in managing large, complex and pressured projects
  • Facilitate at any level and actively build consensus during projects
  • Plan a portfolio of projects and ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with the client on any unforeseen delays and create buy-in from the client
  • Develop and articulate presentation storylines rapidly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong educational foundation in engineering or technology, coupled with a business degree or passion for solving complex problems and creating actionable insights for clients
  • 6 – 9 years of Industry + analyst/consulting working experience within a Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment
  • Relevant university degree (BA, BS) in Engineering or technology
  • A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) is highly regarded and considered an advantage
  • A foundational understanding of the Industrial, manufacturing, energy or environment sector, such as industry structure, operational practices, and competitive landscapes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English
  • Strong client-handling skills, including communication, adaptability, and credibility in stakeholder interactions
  • Analytical thought process
  • Ability to network to create new relationships and to proactively manage on-going relationships to stay relevant to market intelligence needs of the clients
  • Desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
  • Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
  • Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
  • Multi-tasking to meet tight deadlines
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Is a strategic thinker; understands how operational activities are vital in supporting the overall strategy of the business
