About the role

  • Aligns and collaborates with the Head of Department to ensure the overall success of a portfolio of journals
  • Recommends strategic plans and initiatives to streamline the peer review process
  • Oversees the daily operations of the portfolio, providing timely support to the Review Operations Managers
  • Ensures portfolio-wide alignment and collaboration internally and across matrix teams
  • Monitors progress towards targets at the Portfolio level including review time and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for generating ideas for future Product Development
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and provide continued professional development to the Review Operations Managers

Requirements

  • Experience in journal portfolio management or related field
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in operational management and team leadership
  • Ability to analyze journal performance metrics
  • Familiarity with the peer review process
  • Proficiency in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
