About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Working on a global team shaping the digitalization of worldwide plants
- Responsible for defining best practices regarding machine connectivity
- Acting as a single point of contact between IT department and production plants
- Ensuring robust, cost-efficient, and secure machine connectivity solutions
- Managing machine and connectivity hardware suppliers
- Providing input on IT architecture and strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field with practical experience
- Initial experience in Industry IoT
- Strong experience in machine connectivity (OPC-UA, Modbus, ...)
- Experience in communicating with machine suppliers
- Basic knowledge of PLC control and experience in supplier management
- Understanding of cloud concepts, IT architectures, infrastructure, and networks
- Project management experience
- Proficiency in English
