About the role
- Lead and grow a small, high-impact engineering team focused on delivering mission-critical features to our customers.
- Conduct thoughtful and rigorous code reviews to uphold engineering quality and velocity. This individual will set standards within the team in both process and code quality.
- Partner with Product, Support Engineering, and Customer Success to scope and deliver projects that directly impact business goals.
- Support your team through strong technical mentorship, architectural guidance, and clear feedback.
- Establish and continuously improve engineering processes that reduce friction and accelerate delivery.
- Provide hands-on support in architecture and debugging without needing to be a daily IC.
- Work cross-functionally with leadership to align execution with company strategy.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a team of software engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform deep technical reviews, guide architecture, and drive engineering decisions.
- Strong communication skills and a bias toward action when navigating ambiguous problems.
- High emotional intelligence with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and supporting engineers.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to define and deliver complex features.
- Comfort working in a startup environment—able to self-direct, move quickly, and unblock others.
