About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Customer Supply Chain Managers, providing strategic direction, prioritization, and guidance to strengthen customer engagement, service performance, and supply chain execution across Focus Customers.
- Own advanced supply chain relationships with Focus Customers, establishing strategic partnerships with key customer stakeholders at mid & upper leadership levels across replenishment, inventory, transportation, planning, merchandising, and vendor management functions.
- Partner directly with key customer stakeholders to identify and deliver growth opportunities, joint business planning initiatives, and end-to-end supply chain improvements that enhance customer value while driving profitable growth.
- Own results and mitigate risks to successful delivery.
- Direct the customer collaboration strategy, including Joint Business Planning reviews, replenishment insights, and mutual continuous improvement programs, ensuring alignment on service, inventory, and cost optimization objectives.
- Serve as the senior voice of the customer within Del Monte, translating customer requirements, market dynamics, and supply chain trends into actionable strategies that improve service, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and strengthen customer partnerships.
- Oversee customer performance management for the Customer Supply Chain team, including KPI scorecards, OTIF, in-stock performance, inventory health, compliance metrics, and cost-to-serve measures, ensuring proactive risk identification, issue resolution, and sustainable performance improvements.
- Guide the team's analysis and utilization of customer systems and data sources (e.g., Retail Link, 84.51, POL, Vendor Central, and other customer platforms) to identify opportunities for inventory optimization, improved forecast and replenishment execution, and supply chain productivity gains.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, and IT teams to ensure successful execution of key holiday events, promotions, new item launches, network changes, and customer-specific initiatives.
- Champion customer compliance and deduction reduction strategies, driving root-cause elimination, process standardization, and governance to minimize fines, fees, service disruptions, and overall cost to serve.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the Customer Supply Chain organization, leading strategic projects and capability-building initiatives that strengthen customer partnerships, improve operational performance, and support Del Monte's overall Supply Chain strategy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or other related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in customer supply chain, sales, customer service, logistics, or customer finance within Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.
- People Manager Experience
- Customer-Facing work experience, including ownership of customer relationships for diverse set of US Retail partners.
- Expert-level performer in analytics and data presentation, including working within multiple data sources/systems, demonstrating a fundamental knowledge of customer and supply chain systems, and presenting data in a way that can be understood by a broad professional team.
- Experience with customer systems, such as Retail Link, 84.51, Partners Online, Vendor Central, etc.
- Experience with Joint Business Planning and presentations.
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, MS Word, and Teams/Zoom.
- Excellent professional relationship building, intrapersonal skills, and teamwork experience required.
- Excellent customer service/relationship skills demonstrated.
- Experience working day to day with major retailers and customer contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, showing initiative as both an independent and a team contributor.
- Ability to pursue customer and internal team goals with a purpose and persevere through challenges, adopting an ownership mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SAP a plus.
- Experience with data visualization platforms, such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau is a strong plus.
- Experience in project management preferred.
- Experience is US CPG industry preferred.
