About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Operations Business Units and Facilities management as directed
Lead engineering team members, planning and executing capital projects in support of plant operations, warehouse, and R&D
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders from Procurement, Marketing, Operations, and R&D
Assess business opportunities and understand customer needs
Develop capital cost structures to meet project objectives
Measure performance based on the ability to lead engineers and implement multiple projects on time and budget
Engineer, design and specify environmental sustainability equipment systems to support sustainability goals
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage budgets and timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical, Food Science, Chemical, Civil Engineering)
A track record of managing several +1MM capital projects and a progression through multiple roles in the Food Manufacturing industry is preferred.
Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Proficient in CAD tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook).
Ability to work weekends, overtime, and shift schedules as needed.
Self-motivated with the ability to lead others and work independently.
Formal project management training or certifications are a plus.
Lean certification desired.
OSHA certifications desired – safety and utilities.
5+ years of total experience in Food Manufacturing preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of project management experience (leading prospects from cradle to grave).
