About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Seasonal QA Helper supports the Quality Assurance department by assisting with laboratory preparation, product testing, sanitation verification, and documentation activities during the production season.
  • This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and accurate data collection across plant operations.
  • Work activities vary across pre-pack, production, and post-pack periods, supporting the full lifecycle of seasonal operations.
  • Conduct required product testing including drained weight, hold sample analysis, and other quality checks.
  • Perform daily sanitation inspections across production areas.
  • Maintain and organize production records, lab documentation, and testing logs.
  • Provide support for QA-related activities across departments as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic understanding of quality processes, lab procedures, or food manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized testing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy in testing and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, Word, Excel, or similar systems).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
  • Previous experience in a QA, lab, food manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Experience with sampling, testing procedures, or lab equipment.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, food safety standards, or sanitation practices.
  • Experience supporting audits, documentation, or compliance programs.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, lab experience, manufacturing experience, or quality-related work that provide the required knowledge and skills will be considered.
