Manager, Indirect Sourcing

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage team of MRO Purchasing Specialists
- Establish inventory and cost savings goals
- Monitor team performance to achieve goals
- Build and execute comprehensive strategies enabling short and long-term objectives
- Manage negotiation and evaluation of supplier contracts or terms for spend under $100k
- Act as gatekeeper for all Indirect spend less than $100k
- Develop and execute effective sourcing and demand management strategies
- Assistance and accountability in building budgets and ownership of budget adherence
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess health of purchasing process & supply chain
- Conduct regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify & work with corporate procurement to execute favorable inventory agreements
- Manage day-to-day supply issues with plants & vendors
- Implement an inventory management program (ABC)
- Ensure vendor-based lead time compliance
- Act as liaison to internal customers for sourcing and procurement operations
- Establish strong vendor relationships and effectively manage supply base
- Ensure master data is cleansed for key attributes
- Implement controls and support organization to close POs on a regular basis
- Establish procurement order streams
- Participate in development of documentation for department's growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA degree required
- Business or related field preferred
- APICS or CPSM certification is preferred
- At least 5-7 years of experience working with Indirect spend and stakeholders
- Proven experience in leading high performing team
- Experience in the manufacturing environment
- Understanding of contract fundamentals
- Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management
- Solid business acumen and strong analytical skills
- Aptitude for building strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues
- Strong ability to work in cross functional and team-oriented environment with multiple disciplines
- Proven capabilities in the area of project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience in SAP and PTP systems
- Travel up to 30%
