About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting & Planning for Transportation and Warehousing
- Provide robust and accurate reporting on actuals to ensure transparency into Logistics performance
- Deliver forward-looking insights on variances, risks and opportunities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning through close partnership with Logistics departments and Supply Chain Finance team
- Guide the flow of budget and forecast inputs through Supply Chain to ensure deployment data is accurately reflected for Logistics
- Gain thorough knowledge of Freight and Warehousing Amortization Models to understand impact on monthly actuals and develop accurate forecasts
- Help prepare financial presentations and reports to senior leadership
- Decision Support and Cost Optimization
- Partner with Director of Transportation and Director of Warehouse Operations to align supply chain objectives with financial goals
- Drive initiatives to reduce logistics costs without compromising efficiency or service levels
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation and warehousing costs
- Analyze trends and variances to guide executive decision-making
- Provide strategic support to Logistics leadership team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- MBA preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience with significant exposure to supply chain or operations finance
- Experience providing finance support for supply chain logistics
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Solid understanding of cost/supply chain accounting principles
- Extensive background in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally
