About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support FMCNA’s mission and ensure quality patient care
- Manage daily decisions to maintain patient and staff safety
- Provide guidance to direct patient care staff
- Participate in department staffing and the hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
- Approve or disapprove time or schedule changes
- Participate in patient care plan meetings
- Train and orient staff
- Collaborate with direct patient care team in decision making
- Administer medications and supervise patient care activities
- Ensure educational needs of patients are met
- Attend monthly Quality Assurance meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State.
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients in either a chronic or acute setting.
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
