About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supports daily activities of machining department
  • Operates and monitors CNC machines and any other manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum machine uptime and throughput
  • Performs all in-process quality checks, including corresponding documentation, to ensure timely and quality part deliveries are made to customers
  • Monitors and communicates any machine issues to appropriate team members and across shifts
  • Ensures that work areas are maintained, cleaned and organized
  • Participates in all Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, WPO, and 5S activities and meetings
  • Conducts training for technical applications of all equipment and tools
  • Works with department personnel to establish or revise work instructions and procedures, as well as training methodology
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • GED/High School diploma required
  • Preferred previous machine operation exposure/experience
  • Understanding/Exposure of/to various measuring and inspecting tools, programs and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to meet standards for product quality
  • Demonstrated ability to meet standards for operating equipment efficiency
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
  • Possess an understanding of manufacturing and machining principles, plant systems
  • Ability to read and interpret part and process drawings
  • Problem solving, Continuous Improvement, and troubleshooting skills
