About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and develop U.S. Operational Procurement teams (10+ employees), ensuring alignment with corporate procurement policies and industry-specific compliance standards
- Ensure proper staffing levels and required skill sets to support procurement operations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment including planning with specific shift-rotation consideration including skill-set mapping
- Coach team leaders, establish performance goals, oversee skill development, and create individualized development plans
- Provide strategic oversight of end-to-end procurement operations, including vendor onboarding, vendor master data governance, catalog optimization, contract administration, and the delivery of high-quality end-user support and training
- Manage data analytics and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery of procurement KPIs
- Ensure consistent implementation and execution of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide clear, transparent reporting to internal stakeholders
- Maintain complete, up-to-date documentation of procurement processes and procedures in accordance with pharma compliance and audit requirements
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors regarding procurement-related processes
- Ensure compliance with external reporting and tax requirements; will act as a liaison with local company contacts regarding monthly closing procedures
- Collaborate closely with Global Business Services (GBS) and Global Procurement Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement or supply chain, including at least 3+ in leadership or people-management role
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement operations within a regulated environment
- Solid knowledge of P2P process interdependencies, including PR/PO management, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and Payments
- Working experience with SAP MM and FI modules, ARIBA, and ServiceNow or other service-management tools; familiarity with workflow solutions is an advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
