About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new small to mid-size business opportunities, including collaborations with biotech, pharma, academic institutions, and CDMOs.
  • Support the development and structuring of agreements (development, pricing/supply, etc.) with ownership of small/mid-size and clearly-bounded deals.
  • Accountable for monitoring deal progression and tracking of deliverables and alignment to deal.
  • Prepare and support negotiation processes by preparing drafts, gathering inputs, and coordinating internal reviews with Legal and other stakeholders within guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing materials for partnership discussions, including presentations, briefing documents, and financial/strategic analyses.
  • Manage and track progress of key BD initiatives, ensuring alignment across R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Develop high-quality presentations and reports to support leadership communication, business reviews, and decision-making.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, project management, consulting, or a related role within the healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience or strong interest in the Cell & Gene Therapy sector preferred.
  • Understanding and experience with contracting and negotiating fundamentals, including ability to support development of term sheets, MSA/SOW, and pricing/discounting models.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Disciplined in CRM beyond data entry, with ability to input and extract information to support business development activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20–30% domestically and internationally based on business needs.

  • Base salary range: $130,000-$145,000
  • Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary.
