About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write and ship production code daily, review peer pull requests, and partner with engineers to maintain code quality.
Serve as a subject-matter expert for Prebid.js and Prebid Server, including wrapper architecture, bid adapters, identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
Monitor Prebid releases, OpenRTB specification changes, and emerging header bidding standards, translating them into platform recommendations and upgrades.
Own the header bidding wrapper end to end, including architecture, release cycle, feature integration, and design decisions.
Work with Google Ad Manager, GPT, and the IMA SDK, including line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified auction dynamics, and Unified Pricing Rules.
Maintain high-quality JavaScript and TypeScript client-side scripts running on thousands of publisher sites.
Measure and protect Core Web Vitals, memory usage, script execution time, and network overhead.
Own deployed solutions, maintain reliability, and address critical issues to preserve system stability and performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep, hands-on expertise with Prebid.js, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
In-depth knowledge of the auction lifecycle.
Experience with Prebid Server, including stored requests, server-side adapter configuration, and s2s routing.
Strong working knowledge of Google Ad Manager, GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, and dynamic allocation.
4+ years of JavaScript development experience with substantial TypeScript experience.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery, for deploying and operating high-throughput services.
Broad ad tech fluency, including OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity solutions and EIDs, TCF/GPP consent frameworks, Amazon TAM/APS, and video technologies such as IMA SDK/VAST.
Strong experience with asynchronous programming and client-server architecture.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
Ability to be creative and contribute based on merit.
Contributions to Prebid.js or Prebid Server open-source repositories are a plus.
Must be located in the United States; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
