About the role

  • Develop and design traffic engineering projects
  • Conduct traffic studies and create signal timing plans
  • Perform operations analyses and build microsimulation models
  • Collaborate with colleagues and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Conduct research, gather traffic data, perform calculations, and conduct transportation analyses
  • Manage technical activities on assigned projects and perform field work as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas OR ability to obtain the license within 6 months
  • 6+ years of experience related to transportation and traffic engineering
  • Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM and TRANSCAD
  • Familiar with concepts and standards of the MUTCD, HCM and AASHTO Geometric Design.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications and design would be a plus.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate within a project team setting.
