About the role
- Develop and design traffic engineering projects
- Conduct traffic studies and create signal timing plans
- Perform operations analyses and build microsimulation models
- Collaborate with colleagues and manage project budgets and schedules
- Conduct research, gather traffic data, perform calculations, and conduct transportation analyses
- Manage technical activities on assigned projects and perform field work as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas OR ability to obtain the license within 6 months
- 6+ years of experience related to transportation and traffic engineering
- Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM and TRANSCAD
- Familiar with concepts and standards of the MUTCD, HCM and AASHTO Geometric Design.
- Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications and design would be a plus.
- Ability to participate and collaborate within a project team setting.
