About the role
- Manage projects through study, design, and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large-diameter pipelines, and utility work
- Serve as primary client contact and advise on project status and schedule
- Communicate with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, partner firms, and community or technical groups
- Perform and direct complex studies and investigations and prepare reports of findings
- Select equipment and materials and approve manufacturer shop drawings
- Coordinate project phases to ensure completion within time and budget constraints
- Advise Construction Manager on questions or problems arising during construction
- Direct assignments, schedule work, and provide technical oversight for engineers, technicians, designers, drafters, and field representatives
- Review progress to ensure continuity, conformity, and quality
- Check calculations and seal drawings and reports
- Maintain and expand technical capabilities to utilize state-of-the-art technology
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- 10+ years' experience with design of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and pipelines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
