About the role
- Manage and oversee strategic metallurgical projects across growth projects
- Provide direct technical support, mentorship, and advisement on mineral processing topics
- Lead strategic project planning including decision methodology and resource definition
- Interact with internal and external resources on growth projects
- Accountable for executing technical development work and quantifying cost impacts
- Regularly communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders
- Perform metallurgical support activities for project sites
- Prepare annual budgets and resourcing plans, and recruit personnel
- Develop technical materials for patents and conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Ten (10) years of experience in mineral processing and leaching processes
- Five (5) years of experience in operations roles, preferably leading teams
- Three (3) years of experience working on projects or other technical initiatives involving mining and engineering companies
- Strong experience effecting change in operating processing plants
- Knowledge of geo‑metallurgical testing, data interpretation, and modeling tools for forecasting
- Experience with processing techniques of large Porphyry copper deposits
- Demonstrated history of interpreting geo‑metallurgical results and performing regression analyses and/or simulations to develop grade and recovery models
- Specialized technical expertise in three (3) disciplines and general knowledge in five (5) disciplines
- Broad experience in mineral processing plant technical support or operations management
- MBA or related certification or experience in financial and economic evaluations
- Experience managing small technical teams
