About the role
- Identify system constraints and proactively pursues elimination of them through the continuous improvement cycle.
- Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures and reduces production costs through development of maintenance methods to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Lead others and/or performs root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Acts as a subject matter expert as required and assists in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies.
- Research new reliability processes and identifies methods to predict and improve reliability.
- Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and sets expectations within the department for precision maintenance.
- Review and establish Key Performance Indices for equipment.
- Identify PM opportunities and maintenance plans by leading failure mode and effect analysis.
- Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and identifies reports to measure health indicators.
- Proactively develops and provides safety perspective for equipment and processes; makes recommendations of engineering solutions or methods to eliminate hazards.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in Engineering, OR Master’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering
- Proficiency of MS Office suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
- Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and express thought and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communication
- Customer focused to provide quality service to improve equipment and process reliability
- Knowledge and understanding of reliability centered maintenance practices
- Experience with engineering design drawings and schematics
- Self-starter with solid integrity
- Understand the importance of safety, legality and quality.
