About the role
- Assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated Engineering projects and programs at assigned site.
- Assist in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects
- Participate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects
- Administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment
- Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to area of assignment
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with no experience required
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering
- Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification
- Knowledge and experience of power systems engineering including equipment design and specification, installation, testing and commissioning of industrial power systems
- Knowledge and experience of power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and Arc flash study and Mitigation
- Knowledge and experience in designing process automation system including experience of producing instrumentation and control, P&ID drawings
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio
- Self-motivated with excellent work ethic
- Proficiency in MS Office
