About the role

  • Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate supervisors.
  • Ensures continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
  • Provides operations input for production and maintenance planning.
  • Ensures adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Inspects assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
  • Coordinates daily with other operational and staff areas including, but not limited to: maintenance, processing, engineering, safety, environmental, and sales.
  • Directly supervises first-line or shift supervisors.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED and nine (9) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in prolong intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training, OR on the job training, etc..) in Accounting or Finance
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and seven (7) years professional experience in accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related area, AND five (5) years of related Accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related area, AND three (3) years of related Accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
  • Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Competent in Fixed Asset and Capital management in SAP
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with departments such as operations and procurement to integrate financial insights, drive operational refinements, and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Leads critical accounting functions such as preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, variance analysis, and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to established accounting principles.
