About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independent participation in ongoing financial accounting with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Review, allocation and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Recording of bank and cash transactions and support in payment processing according to internal authorization procedures
  • Performing account reconciliations (general ledger accounts, receivables, payables and, where applicable, intercompany accounts)
  • Support for preparatory activities for month-end and year-end closings (e.g., reconciliations, document compilation)
  • Maintenance and updating of master data in the ERP system
  • Assistance with VAT-related matters, in particular invoice/document review and provision of supporting information
  • Clearing of open items and coordination with internal departments
  • Handling general administrative tasks, including documentation, filing and support for processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., industrial clerk, tax clerk) or an equivalent qualification
  • Practical experience in accounting/bookkeeping; experience in individual sub-areas is desirable
  • Confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision)
  • Structured and reliable working style with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Team-oriented personality with clear, service-focused communication
  • Very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage
