About the role
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of both cloud-based and on-premises network infrastructure.
- Configuring and troubleshooting network components, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity across environments.
- Assisting with system administration tasks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues, optimize performance, and apply security best practices.
- Implement, configure, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Apply Credit Union security best practices for network and cloud environments.
- Design, evaluate, and recommend changes and new infrastructure systems and services.
- Perform day-to-day administration of the credit union's infrastructure, including documenting configuration, processes, troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
- Creating audit documentation and compliance reporting.
- Consult with IT management and technical staff to ensure IT standards for control, security, and recoverability are understood and followed.
- Coordinate with other technical support staff to implement and maintain appropriate computing standards.
- Enable and enforce security practices as defined by the Risk department, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Manage software and firmware upgrades to maintain alignment with standards and control requirements.
- Provide Level 3 support for advanced technology issues, including networking, telephony systems, imaging, fax technology, and data format conversion.
- Configure, monitor, and test all backups to ensure data integrity and recoverability across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Implement and validate cloud redundancy strategies; such as geo-replication and cloud-based backup services, as defined by the Enterprise Architect, to meet business continuity requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
- Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
- Technical Skills: Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Server and Windows Client environments. Hands-on experience with Azure networking components (VNETs, NSGs, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute). Familiarity with Azure Backup , Site Recovery , and geo-redundant storage for disaster recovery. Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across hybrid environments (on-prem and Azure). Basic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI; experience with workflow automation desirable. Understanding of identity and access management in Azure (Azure AD, Conditional Access). Exposure to AI-driven monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud) for proactive issue resolution.
