About the role
- Manage and direct the daily activities of the mortgage operations department.
- Supervise the daily activities of the Mortgage Operations Department, including training, coaching, disciplining, and monitoring the performance of employees.
- Monitor and manage all systems within the department to identify areas for process improvement.
- Perform departmental self-assessment reviews on an ongoing basis to mitigate compliance risk.
- Serve as back-up to the Mortgage Underwriter by reviewing and evaluating mortgage loan requests.
Requirements
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience
- A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone.
- Skill and ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals and other related materials.
- Must have the skill and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
