About the role
- Leverage outstanding English and other-language communication skills to support, develop, implement, and execute the company's communications plan
- Align high-level messaging strategies with business goals, reputation management
- Navigate complex challenges, enhance public perception, and ensure the company's engagement builds the brand
- Support the President and CEO daily, including while he travels abroad
- Communicate with government officials; discretion is essential at all times
- Develop, create, and promote targeted and effective communications and engagement content for Office of the CEO programs and projects
- Review and edit content prepared by other members of the team
- Lead the implementation of the communications and engagement strategy for the Office of the CEO
- Lead the Office of the CEO communications calendar
- Champion use of internal project management tool to effectively plan communications and engagement projects
- Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of communications and engagement best practices to recommend new approaches for FreeBalance
- Create engagement content and toolkits on FreeBalance Initiatives
- Provide efficient administrative support to the President/CEO
- Manage daily schedule of President/CEO
- Manage travel arrangements, accommodations, agendas for travel
- Attend meetings and take minutes as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills in English
- Extensive experience and proficiency in communications, including writing, editing, speaking notes, and presentations
- Additional language proficiency is a major asset
- Proficient in Word, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in structuring PowerPoint Presentations on executive level
- Well-organized and able to work cooperatively with others throughout the company
- The ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- The competence to preserve the confidentiality of special matters
- Ability to research different topics, including, but not limited to: government, software, media, and public financial management.
- Comfortable presenting any given research topic
- Demonstrated experience translating high-level strategy into a concrete communications plan
- Experience in the development of communications strategies
- Experience in creative, strategic, big-picture thinking combined with the ability to execute tactically
- Experience hosting virtual meetings, webinars, and workshops
- Experience with the university sector and communicating to an academic audience is highly desirable
- Travel required
