About the role

  • Develop mathematical models and optimization methods for robust supply chains
  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements and develop tailored solutions
  • Analyze and model complex planning problems, often as network flow or mixed-integer programming formulations
  • Develop, implement, and (via simulation) test innovative algorithmic approaches

Requirements

  • University degree (Master’s or PhD) in (business) mathematics or (business) computer science
  • Ideally specialized in discrete mathematics, mathematical programming, combinatorial optimization, operations research, network optimization, or the design of efficient algorithms
  • Willingness to apply mathematics in practice and to solve relevant problems for industry and society
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to quickly understand and structure complex planning processes
  • Independent learning of new domain knowledge, supported and mentored by experienced colleagues
  • Initiative, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in presenting your own ideas within the team and to clients
