About the role
- Define the strategic and thematic direction of the research field "Sustainable Factory Planning and Operations" in close cooperation with the department leadership
- Develop, advance, and manage the content of business models, with a particular focus on industry and knowledge transfer
- Ensure quality assurance and strategic development of research proposals, project outlines, and third-party funded projects
- Provide academic supervision and support for the department's doctoral candidates
- Represent the research field at national and international conferences, in expert committees, and in relevant networks
- Initiate and maintain collaborations with industry, academia, and public funding bodies
Requirements
- Completed academic degree with a doctoral qualification (PhD)
- Proven expertise in sustainable factory planning, production systems, or related fields
- Authorization to independently supervise doctoral candidates
- Experience in acquiring and managing third-party funded projects
- Experience supervising doctoral candidates and ensuring academic quality
- Excellent networks in academia and industry
- Strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and high personal initiative
