About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning and the Associate and Bachelor of Science in Financial Management programs
Provide strategic direction for the programs through academic leadership, curriculum oversight, faculty supervision, teaching, assessment, scholarship, and engagement with industry and professional organizations
Collaborate with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Transfer Credit, and other University departments to support student success
Lead annual program assessment activities
Oversee curriculum quality, program assessment, accreditation and certification alignment, faculty development, and continuous improvement initiatives
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the discipline
Recruit, mentor, assign, observe, and evaluate faculty while fostering a collaborative and student-centered teaching environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Earned doctorate in Finance, Financial Planning, or a closely related discipline
Minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline
At least five years of university-level teaching experience
At least five years of progressively responsible leadership or management experience
Demonstrated success in curriculum development, faculty leadership, assessment, and student engagement
Exceptional communication, collaboration, organizational, and leadership skills
Commitment to student success and academic excellence
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic higher education environment
Professional credentials such as Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) are strongly preferred
