About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy.
- Assisting in training students and technologists and performing injection procedures.
- Maintaining optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties.
- Working closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree - Preferred
- Certificate - Required
- 2 years Radiology Experience - Preferred
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Radiography (ARRT-R) - Required within 180 days
- Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - Required within 1 year

- Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms.
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
- Complete all CT exams and procedures; obtain the most optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to policy and protocol.
- Confirm patient identity.
- Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results.
- Review and update patient documentation in EMR and PACS.
- Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media.
- Practice established safety guidelines and utilizes ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.
