About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy.
  • Assisting in training students and technologists and performing injection procedures.
  • Maintaining optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties.
  • Working closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree - Preferred
  • Certificate - Required
  • 2 years Radiology Experience - Preferred
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - Required within 180 days
  • Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - Required within 1 year

  • Complete all CT exams and procedures; obtain the most optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to policy and protocol.
  • Confirm patient identity.
  • Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results.
  • Review and update patient documentation in EMR and PACS.
  • Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media.
  • Practice established safety guidelines and utilizes ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.
