About the role
- Prepares and approves the annual budget for the Finance Department
- Analyzes financial data and develops and implements business plans
- Oversees and manages projects impacting operating margin
- Advise department and Franciscan Alliance staff on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Analyze and review programs, projects and process changes
- Identify legal, reimbursement and tax issues, government reporting requirements
- Review and analyze finance programs and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting - Required
- Master's Degree Business, Finance, or Accounting or related - Preferred
- 10 years Finance or Accounting in a physician practice/healthcare setting - Required
- Understanding of post-acute reimbursement mechanisms - preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State Licensing Board - Preferred
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) - HFMA - Preferred
- Healthcare Financial Management Association Certification (HFMA) - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) - Preferred
- Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) membership - Preferred
