About the role
- Perform audit functions to assess the CDI performance, identify knowledge gaps and assure compliance with all industry standards and departmental policies.
- Oversee the auditing program to ensure accurate and compliant query practices.
- Support coworkers as they work to meet CDI quality standards.
- Analyze findings from reviews to identify trends that do not align with established policies and procedures and shares finding with CDI Education team for growth and development.
- Act as a resource for the CDI staff on clinical and coding issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field - Required
- 7 years Acute Care Nursing - Required
- 3 years Direct CDI Experience - Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board - Required
- CDI Certification - Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) - Required within 180 Days
- Approachable and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with providers and multidisciplinary teams - Required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable using Excel for CDI audits, tracking, and documentation - Required
- Ability to independently research and apply CDI-related clinical guidelines, with a strong interest in continuous learning and education - Required
