Administer, maintain, and optimize Veritas NetBackup and Veeam to ensure 100% data recoverability and compliance with backup retention policies
Manage VMware vSphere/vCenter environments, handling virtual machine provisioning, performance tuning, and resource allocation
Proactively identify, install, and maintain server hardware, storage systems (Dell EMC/DataDomain), and software to ensure continuous performance
Act as the technical point of contact for complex hardware/software issues, diagnosing and resolving issues discovered through monitoring or user reports
Analyze performance metrics to recommend, upgrade, and secure server-based systems
Work collaboratively with technical teams, acting as a IT Business Partner to other business units, and delivering projects to improve infrastructure reliability
Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent practical experience
Proven, hands-on experience in enterprise-level System Administration (0+ years with relevant skills)
Strong, hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup and Veeam Backup & Replication is essential
Strong proficiency with VMware vSphere and vCenter
Solid understanding of Windows Server and/or Linux system administration
Experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, DataDomain)
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
