About the role

  • Establish, lead and operationally manage the new Fassmer site in Stralsund
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all buildings, systems and infrastructure
  • Plan and oversee maintenance, repair and modernization measures
  • Responsible for budget planning, cost control and investments
  • Organize compliance with all legal and operational requirements (occupational safety, fire protection, DGUV)
  • Overall responsibility for production organization in ship hull construction, including quality, schedules and costs
  • Introduce modern manufacturing methods (e.g. Lean Production, continuous process optimization) and continuously improve processes and workflows
  • Lead, build and further develop the site team

Requirements

  • Completed degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture/shipbuilding, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience managing production sites or manufacturing areas, ideally in shipbuilding or a maritime environment
  • Solid knowledge of technical and infrastructural facility management as well as production planning, occupational health & safety and contract management
  • Experience in project management, particularly for infrastructure or production setup projects
  • Confident use of ERP systems and MS Office
  • Fluent German in speech and writing, strong English skills for technical and business communication/documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, organisational talent and assertiveness
