Director

• Lead and supervise a high-impact policy team; define objectives and processes and to help inform the organization’s strategic planning and direction.
• Develop, oversee, and coach senior PAR staff in the design, development, execution, and delivery of timely work that furthers the team’s objectives and goals.
• Influence and partner with senior leaders to define city, state, and national policy strategy aligned with FPWA’s strategic direction and theory of change.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with officials and staff at the New York City Council, Office of the Mayor, and City agencies, as well as with New York State legislators, committees, and executive offices, in order to align FPWA advocacy with government priorities and funding cycles.
• Develop and support internal capacity to conduct independent research and policy analysis (including budget and legislative).
• Remain informed and responsive in strategy and communication to policy developments that impact the human services sector and present opportunities for FPWA to take a leadership position.
• Measure the effectiveness of policy work and initiatives; define and lead change to meet objectives.
• Work in partnership with FPWA External Affairs team in coordinating the work of external partners (lobbying firms, consultants, etc.) to ensure that priority positions and targeted local, state and national advocacy outcomes are effectively achieved.
• Collaborate and coordinate across the Policy and Research department and broader organization to ensure policy and advocacy priorities align with FPWA’s strategic direction and the needs of FPWA's membership network of nearly 170 human services and faith-based organizations and sector at large.
• Effectively partner across all organizational departments to enable and facilitate FPWA’s positioning across its core areas of focus and increase engagement of stakeholders through the strategic use of diverse media platforms.
• Serve as ambassador of FPWA’s mission and policy and advocacy priorities; develop and maintain relationships across constituents (faith-based, Board of Directors, staff, legislative, etc.).
• Raise FPWA profile and visibility as a leader in developing and advancing anti-poverty policy solutions through communications, relationship building, and other advocacy strategies including campaigns for achieving legislative, budgetary, and other policy goals.
• Diversify, expand, and promote the department's research and policy products to influence a broad base of policymakers, elected officials, community members, and other stakeholders.

Director of Policy – Advocacy

Operations

• Manage FPWA’s Salesforce database as well as all fundraising platforms, ensuring accurate data entry, coding, segmentation, reporting and research.
• Maintain the integrity and organization of donor, funder, and prospect information.
• Oversee all gift processing and acknowledgment workflows, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and a donor-centered approach.
• Produce regular reports on giving levels, donor activity, and fundraising performance for leadership and board review.
• Support the ongoing improvement of data management systems, processes, and reporting tools.
• Manage departmental invoicing, expenses, and reconciliation with the Finance team.
• Provide day to day support to the Chief Development Officer, including scheduling, expense submissions, and tracking key deliverables.
• Partner with the Development team to coordinate annual campaigns, appeals, and special initiatives.
• Support the development of donor stewardship processes that strengthen relationships and retention.
• Conduct donor and prospect research to identify potential major, corporate, and institutional funders, and prospective board members.
• Maintain systems for tracking donor interactions, acknowledgments, and engagement history.
• Manage lists for solicitations, cultivation mailings, and fundraising communications.
• Support logistics and operations for donor, board, and cultivation events, including guest tracking, vendor coordination, and materials preparation.
• Monitor internal workflows, deadlines, and deliverables across all fundraising channels.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate financial and donor information for proposals and reports.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for the department.
• Contribute to department-wide planning and evaluation processes.
• Represent FPWA with professionalism and commitment to donor-centered service.

Development Operations Manager

Account Manager

• Leads member recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies by establishing and building on FPWA’s Customer Relationship Model (CRM).
• Oversees the management of key relationships with member organizations, faith partners, and strategic partners.
• Manages FPWA’s Membership Outreach & Engagement Organizer, Faith Organizer, and departmental interns.
• Collaboratively develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to grow and deepen FPWA’s relationship with our current member agencies.
• Supports the Chief of Membership & External Affairs in relaunching and maintaining the Member Advisory Board and developing the Faith Advisory Board.
• Oversee the development and execution of the Member Engagement Calendar and Plan, which includes monthly and quarterly meetings, networking events, advocacy days, member advisory board meetings, annual meetings, etc.
• Collaborate closely with FPWA’s Program, Policy, and Campaign leadership teams to ensure the alignment of work across teams and exploration of opportunities and partnerships to bolster FPWA’s work.
• Partners with FPWA’s Policy Department to drive member and faith partner engagement in policy, research, and advocacy efforts.
• Oversee the strategic development and management of FPWA’s faith-based campaigns.
• Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the Membership Data Systems management, renewals and retention process.
• Oversees membership constituent affairs management and support for issues and requests for support raised by FPWA’s broader membership pool.
