About the role
- Hello — we are FounderBlocks! We are a startup studio that helps non-technical founders validate, build, and scale app, SaaS, and AI-tool ideas.
- Are you up for direct customer contact with aspiring tech founders?
- Full-time and 100% remote work (after onboarding) with the ability to work from anywhere in the world, as long as results meet expectations.
- Fair commissions for contract renewals, tied to your work and the success of the customers you manage.
- Building action plans for customers and helping them turn their ideas into profitable tech ventures? Great — you belong with us.
- As an Account Manager you will play a key role in our next phase of growth.
- You will work directly with our customers and be primarily accountable for customer outcomes — not for comfort-oriented account management.
- Your responsibilities: client success management.
- Take ownership of 20+ aspiring founders who are eager to turn their ideas into reality, and provide them with coaching, accountability, and mentoring — equipping them with the tools they need.
- Run kickoffs: after reviewing a detailed intake, you define an individual roadmap that maximizes the chance of success.
- Accountability calls: in weekly sessions you analyze current bottlenecks, answer specific questions, and define the next work packages for customers.
- Chat support: between accountability and topic calls you support founders via chat with helpful answers, Loom videos, or by sending a suitable training.
- The end result: you consistently deliver measurable outcomes for our customers and achieve top NPS ratings.
- You lead upsell conversations with customers and deepen engagements by selling additional mentoring or development packages.
- In daily meetings we exchange what is currently working, analyze your calls, and you receive valuable feedback on the accounts you manage.
- You coordinate with our sales team, have visibility over current customers, and proactively offer renewals at the right time.
- Translation of business → product → tech: you capture founders’ vision, goals, and feedback and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for our development team. You structure features into user stories and identify ambiguities, risks, and contradictions early and resolve them proactively.
- Planning & prioritization: you are responsible for backlog structure, prioritization (e.g., by impact/urgency/risk), sprint/release planning, and moderating decisions: what do we build now, what later — and why.
- You ensure that scope, time, and quality align realistically.
- In short: you are responsible for providing individualized support to aspiring founders, resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining high accountability through 1:1 calls, project management, coaching, and chat support.
Requirements
- Strong structuring and problem-solving skills (ambiguity → clarity).
- Software understanding & Product Owner / technical sparring partner: you can accompany software from idea to go-live.
- You don't need to be a developer, but you must function effectively as the link between customers and developers.
- Strong grasp of technical fundamentals (APIs, data, deployments, common risks).
- Go-to-market experience in the startup space: you know marketing, founder-led sales, and outbound, and have experience bringing an innovative idea to its first customers.
- Sales experience: you should have practical sales experience, as you will analyze customers’ calls and do sales sparring with them.
- Your energy should generally be higher than your counterpart’s to motivate and build up your customers.
- Leadership & rapport: you must be able to hold others accountable as a leader after they’ve told you what matters to them.
- You must recognize when customers are misleading themselves, understand different personality types, read them, and work effectively with them.
- High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
- Startup knowledge: you have a deep understanding of how the startup market (especially apps, SaaS, and AI tools) operates.
- You are active in the startup scene; you may have founded something yourself or worked early at a startup.
- (Optional) Experience with vibe-coding: you have used AI tools to build your own software or app and know how to turn ideas into working prototypes.
- (Optional) Founding experience in the software space.
