About the role

  • **Main Responsibilities:**
  • - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other legal documents to ensure the company's legal rights are protected.
  • - Research, assess, and provide advice on potential risks related to business decisions and operations.
  • - Maintain and update the company's contract database as needed.
  • - Oversee the document execution process using electronic signature tools.
  • - Assist the legal team with AML and KYC checks, when required.
  • - Draft, update or amend internal policies and procedures.
  • - Regularly update and maintain standard internal contract templates.
  • - Support the Data Protection Officer in providing staff training on data protection laws and compliance.
  • - Assist the DPO with monitoring data management procedures and ensuring legal compliance across the company.
  • - Identify and track legal issues, providing proactive advice on potential solutions.
  • - Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
  • - A strong understanding of Maltese and European laws.
  • - EU-warranted legal professional.
  • - A strong team player and leader with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • - An effective communicator with fluency in English.
  • - Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks and drive them to successful completion.
  • - Ability to work under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • - Good people skills and ability to work in a team environment.
