About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end proposal development process for low- to medium-complexity opportunities
- Own proposal text, quotes, budgets, and RFI responses for assigned opportunities
- Establish timelines, meet client requirements, and suggest solutions to obstacles
- Support integrated opportunities spanning multiple Business Units
- Review and analyze RFI and RFP documents and follow up for missing information
- Identify and resolve issues involving client requirements and Fortrea capabilities
- Organize and facilitate strategic and operational opportunity calls
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and locations
- Liaise with third-party vendors and vendor managers for quotations and information
- Prepare accurate, high-quality proposal documents under changing timelines
- Support internal and external negotiations involving pricing, processes, resources, and timelines
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned deliverables and escalate complex issues to the Manager
- Perform accurate data entry into departmental and corporate systems
- Support client-facing and senior-management activities, meetings, and presentations
- Maintain knowledge of technical and regulatory environments
- Improve process efficiency and deliverable quality
- Contribute to client relationship improvement activities
- Perform quality control activities
- Support sales-focused inbound client visits
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new starters
- Contribute new and updated content to the content library
- Complete other duties assigned by the Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in budget and/or text development, or equivalent education and CRO/pharma/related experience
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Persistence while maintaining tact
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of proposal management software such as Salesforce.com, Qvidian, or Proposal Automation applications preferred
- Demonstrated text editing and writing skills
- Ability to plan, multitask, and prioritize
- Teamwork, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and senior management
- Positive attitude and sense of urgency
- Ability and willingness to work across Business Units
- Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours to meet proposal deadlines
- Flexibility to attend meetings across time zones outside core working hours
- Willingness to travel
