About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the mechanical engineering execution of medium to large material handling and conveyor projects
  • Serve as the primary mechanical engineering technical resource for customers, project teams, vendors, and field personnel
  • Review project scope, customer specifications, system designs, and contract requirements to ensure successful execution
  • Conduct system design, 3D model, and constructability reviews while resolving technical and installation issues
  • Develop and maintain engineering schedules that support project milestones and installation timelines
  • Manage mechanical engineering deliverables, change orders, material requests, and drawing releases
  • Coordinate engineering activities with Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Field Installation
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers and designers by providing technical guidance and coaching
  • Review engineering drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering quality, customer satisfaction, and project execution.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6–10 years of material handling or conveyor systems engineering experience
  • Experience leading medium to large engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, mechanical design, and engineering standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor; experience with Navisworks, BIM, and Microsoft Project is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
