About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leading medium scope and less complex projects through the detail design and implementation phase
  • Development of RFP/Supplier Selection requirements, electrical control panel phasing plans, Electrical Engineering work plans, and design approval packages
  • Providing electrical system input to Project Engineer during design review meetings to ensure electrical requirements are understood
  • Supporting Project Engineer during transition from Detailed Design to Final Engineering
  • Reviewing and providing Electrical Engineering input to Description of Operation (DOO) & Functional Specification (FSD) documentation
  • Facilitating project meetings as required by project cadence
  • Producing meeting agendas
  • Providing meeting minutes to team members
  • Providing Electrical Engineering input to MHS implementation plan
  • Developing Electrical Engineering work plan to ensure successful project milestone achievements
  • Assisting Project Engineer during Speeds & Feeds review
  • Leading Controls Layout review meetings with internal teams and Client
  • Supporting Project Engineer to achieve design acceptance
  • Leading and directing support resources during development of project deliverables
  • Compiling project status reports
  • Attending project update meetings
  • Compiling and communicating electrical Assumptions/Decisions/Risk/Actions (ADRA) items

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant design qualification with suitable industry experience in electrical design of complex automated material handling systems
  • Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application)
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance
  • Advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication)
  • Experience working with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position
  • Proficient in the use of E-Plan for electrical design
  • Flexible and approachable
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of our projects
