About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Building in Quality Control for Engineering processes and deliverables.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve the quality of project engineering processes, products, and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Design and execute comprehensive training programs for project engineering staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competencies.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to support engineering and project execution.
Ensure that documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to engineers in following established procedures and best practices.
Establish a culture of continuous improvement and mechanisms to promote mentoring of associates across the Engineering department.
Support the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery and engineering processes.
Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics, status updates, and insights to senior management.
Work closely with engineering teams to develop action plans and initiatives to address performance gaps and optimize processes.
Create and regularly review and update Parts Library to reflect changes in product designs and manufacturing processes.
Support engineering by providing expertise, resources, and guidance for a range of engineering software tools, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, Navisworks, ACC, Vault, and custom add-ons tailored to enhance functionality within these platforms.
Foster effective communication of innovative concepts and serve as a catalyst for driving transformative change within the engineering department.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Engineering Bachelor's degree (or similar engineering program) from an accredited college with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Material Handling and Conveyor experience preferred
Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance
Strong management and advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication)
Experience with Engineering Software Tools
Programming skills and experience are expected for automation, reporting, and engineering process support.
Proficient parametric and horizontal‑style 3D modeling skills are expected to support engineering tools, standards, and libraries.
Experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position
Ability to self-motivate
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel
Ability to perform essential functions of the job.
