About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Focus on the development and management of an internal team within the Engineering group
Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication culture
Delegate tasks and coach/mentor Associates to successfully deliver engineering projects
Provide leadership and development to Fortna Associates of varying levels of experience
Support promoting and developing the approach and methodologies for the delivery of projects from the initial lead up to the implementation
Direct the design and documentation of electrical controls deliverables of Fortna’s Material Handling Systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college with seven to 10 years of relevant experience, or a two-year degree from an accredited college with 10+ years of relevant experience
Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application)
Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers
Extensive experience working with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-e, or E-Plan for electrical design
Ability to travel frequently both nationally and internationally in support of projects
Strong management and advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication)
