About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with sales and clinical education field teams to deliver high-value customer solutions and sustain ASP’s installed base
  • Manage all responsibilities of the primary territory, including compliance and documentation
  • Schedule and perform installation, operation, planned maintenance, repair, and modification of ASP systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document equipment performance and maintenance records
  • Coordinate technical and service work with leadership, customers, and scheduling personnel
  • Provide emergency-service support and respond to customer requests
  • Determine causes, troubleshoot systems, and take corrective action
  • Complete assigned training and documentation within required dates
  • Advise on design changes to improve efficiency, quality, and operating costs
  • Develop project plans for installation of new equipment
  • Manage customer expectations before and after interactions to ensure satisfaction
  • Complete daily updates and documentation in the Siebel Service Management System
  • Process RMA returns and manage trunk parts inventory and audits
  • Guide hospital biomedical engineers, field service technicians, and representatives
  • Provide design-improvement suggestions and support beta-site installations
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma with 5 years of proven experience in customer support, customer relations, or technical support, or an associate degree with 5 to 10 years of related work experience
  • Minimum of five years of customer service experience
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs. to a height of four feet
  • Ability to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to sit and drive for long periods
  • Ability to perform occasional airline travel
  • Ability to tolerate excessive standing, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to adhere to customer protective, safety, and security protocols
  • Rotating weekend on-call coverage required
  • Experience using office-based and customized computer programs/applications for territory management and administrative activities
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access
  • Knowledge of service management systems
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices for parts inventory
  • Basic understanding of business practices, processes, and territory-management costs
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in a matrix/team environment with verbal and written communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Preferred: degree in electronics, technology, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related major
  • Preferred: four years of related medical-device work experience
  • Preferred: field service environment experience
