Key responsibilities & impact- Design and dimensioning of control cabinets/switchgear for high-current applications
- Creation of wiring diagrams, parts lists and manufacturing documentation using EPLAN Electric P8 and ERP systems
- Consideration and implementation of international standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC, CE)
- Technical coordination with internal departments as well as international customers and suppliers
- Support in the selection and sizing of components (busbars, protective devices, circuit breakers, etc.)
- Ensuring standard-compliant and manufacturable designs
- Technical coordination with project management, mechanical design and production
- Technical support for production, procurement and service
- Assistance with commissioning and technical clarifications
- Contribution to the further development of design standards and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent qualification (technician/master with relevant experience)
- Several years of professional experience in electrical design of control cabinets, ideally in high-current or power distribution environments
- Solid knowledge of international standards and regulations (IEC, UL, CSA, NFPA/NEC is an advantage)
- Confident use of CAE systems (e.g., EPLAN Electric P8)
- Experience with high-current components (e.g., busbar systems, protective devices, circuit breakers, etc.)
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills in an international environment
- Good written and spoken German and English
