About the role

  • Assist with user research activities such as usability testing, workflow reviews, and synthesis of findings.
  • Support documentation of personas, journey maps, and pain points across key user workflows.
  • Apply user-centered and empathy-driven design principles to healthcare and administrative workflows.
  • Create low- to mid-fidelity wireframes and mockups using tools such as Figma.
  • Support the design of user flows and interaction patterns that align with product requirements.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Assist with documenting and evolving shared UX components, patterns, and standards.
  • Help bridge gaps between design assets and implementation by collaborating with engineering partners.
  • Support efforts to improve consistency and scalability across products through reusable design elements.
  • Build awareness of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
  • Support design reviews to identify usability or accessibility gaps.
  • Learn how healthcare and legal considerations influence UX decisions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field. Graduating December 2026 or later.
  • Academic, portfolio, or project-based experience demonstrating UX/UI design thinking (coursework, capstone, or personal projects).
  • Interest in healthcare technology, SaaS products, or enterprise software design.
  • Familiarity with Figma (preferred); exposure to Sketch or Adobe XD is a plus.
  • Awareness of usability testing, wireframing, prototyping, and design critique practices.
  • Interest in component libraries, pattern documentation, and scalable UX systems.
  • Basic understanding of accessibility and inclusive design concepts.
  • Exposure to HTML/CSS or front-end concepts is a plus (not required).
