Job Level

About the role

  • Own and evolve the product portfolio vision and strategy, ensuring cohesion across multiple product lines and alignment with business strategy and customer outcomes
  • Define and maintain a portfolio roadmap, balancing short‑term delivery with medium‑ and long‑term strategic investments
  • Make trade‑off decisions across products based on customer impact, revenue potential, risk, and capacity
  • Ensure consistency in product principles, user experience, and architectural direction across the portfolio
  • Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and industry professionals to identify cross‑product user pain points and opportunities
  • Synthesize insights across products to identify platform, integration, and scalability opportunities
  • Establish and maintain a strong understanding of the broader market, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to drive portfolio‑level differentiation
  • Prioritize portfolio initiatives and product investments using data, customer insights, and scoring frameworks (RICE, WSJF, etc.)
  • Allocate investment across products to maximize business and customer value, not just individual feature success
  • Regularly review and adjust priorities based on performance, market feedback, and strategic shifts
  • Craft and present portfolio‑level business cases, outlining ROI, customer impact, and strategic alignment
  • Interface with Senior Leadership to report on portfolio health, risks, and performance
  • Recommend investment shifts, sunsetting, or acceleration decisions
  • Act as a strategic advisor on how the product portfolio enables organizational goals
  • Lead and coordinate multiple cross‑functional squads and Product Owners across the portfolio
  • Coach and mentor Product Managers/Owners to ensure strong product practices, decision quality, and consistency
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support at scale
  • Guide teams through the full product lifecycle—from discovery to delivery and post‑launch optimization—across multiple products
  • Monitor portfolio performance through Product‑level KPIs
  • Portfolio‑level health metrics (adoption, revenue mix, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency)
  • Identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities rather than isolated fixes
  • Act as the executive‑level “go‑to” for the product portfolio, its capabilities, and market positioning
  • Speak externally on behalf of the portfolio at customer on‑sites, industry events, and product webinars as needed
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to articulate clear portfolio narratives and value propositions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, with demonstrated ownership of multiple products or a product portfolio
  • Previous experience in the Environmental Health & Safety (EHSQ) space, either as a practitioner or Product Manager at an EHS software company
  • Proven success delivering customer‑ and revenue‑impacting software at scale
  • People management experience, ideally having led multiple Product Managers/Owners or cross‑functional squads
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without authority
  • Experience operating at both strategic (portfolio, investment, vision) and tactical (delivery, execution) levels
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum and experience running teams across multiple workstreams
  • Strong product discovery, prioritization, and roadmap management skills
  • Excellence in product documentation and tooling (Jira, Confluence, Productboard, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate products through a portfolio lens, including ROI, risk, customer value, and technical leverage
  • Comfort making imperfect decisions in ambiguous environments
  • Strong data literacy and ability to translate metrics into strategic decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills—written and verbal—with the ability to clearly articulate portfolio strategy, trade‑offs, and customer impact
  • High empathy for end users and internal teams, paired with the confidence to make tough prioritization decisions.
Benefits
  • Ability to travel ~5%
  • Thrives in fast‑paced, complex environments managing multiple priorities simultaneously
