About the role

  • Conceive and develop innovative product concepts that improve how customers work.
  • Create sketches, storyboards, and refined CAD to communicate design intent.
  • Build and iterate 3D models and physical prototypes to evaluate form, fit, and usability.
  • Support Voice of Customer (VoC) research; document user needs, workflows, and opportunities.
  • Participate in user testing; incorporate feedback to improve usability, ergonomics, and aesthetics.
  • Research materials, manufacturing processes, and market trends.
  • Partner with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Recommend and document colors, materials, finishes (CMF) and textures aligned to brand and use case.
  • Present concepts and progress in design reviews to gain alignment and buy-in.
  • Produce detailed CAD and visual assets (renderings/animations) for reviews and marketing as needed.
  • Prepare design specifications, drawings, and documentation that support fabrication and assembly.
  • Maintain organized records of iterations, specs, and timelines; ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.
  • Proficiency in CAD Rhino preferred; others acceptable.
  • Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Strong portfolio showing process (research → concepts → prototypes), sketching, 3D surfacing, and final outcomes.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team.
