About the role
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions — ensuring that Agile best practices are followed.
- Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs aligned with clinical workflows, compliance requirements, and customer commitments.
- Promote continuous delivery of high-quality, compliant software releases within the healthcare domain.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, self-organization, and accountability.
- Serve as a servant leader, helping teams remove impediments, manage dependencies, and maintain focus on delivery.
- Encourage an environment of transparency, trust, and psychological safety across teams.
- Partner with Product Management, QA, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs teams to ensure deliverables meet safety, usability, and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with Implementation and Customer Success teams to align development priorities with end-user needs and customer deployments.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment for features that impact clinical data workflows, interoperability, or integrations with external systems (e.g., EMR, HL7, FHIR interfaces).
- Drive process improvement through data-driven retrospectives, actionable feedback, and measurable performance improvements.
- Track and communicate key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput, defect trends) to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency within the SDLC.
- Ensure Agile delivery practices align with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory documentation standards.
- Partner with QA and Regulatory teams to plan and execute validation and verification cycles within sprints.
- Reinforce best practices for traceability, documentation, and risk management in software releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant field
- 2-5 years of experience in Agile software delivery, including experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.
- Experience in healthcare software, medical devices, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of enabling high-performing Agile teams delivering enterprise or clinical software products.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, QA automation, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with clinical software systems, healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and data privacy requirements (HIPAA).
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills — especially with technical and non-technical (clinical) audiences.
- Strong servant leadership, collaboration, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Highly organized and adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments.
